It's hard to remember a time when the world has changed so radically all around us in so short a period of time. Both our tears and prayers have multiplied. Probably the most important adjustment for us (and especially for Allison) is saying "goodbye" to all of our childcare options. All 3 kids are now home 24x7, and Sarah still has school work to do. While our kids miss their different activities and friends, we've been able to use technology to help stay connected. We certainly appreciate prayers during these uncertain times.
We are thankful for the following things during the current global crisis:
Thankful Jesus is risen and reigning over all things for our good and His glory
Thankful for online grocery services like Instacart and Imperfect Foods so we can stay home as much as possible
Thankful for our church leadership helping us all stay in the Word, connected, and reaching out to high risk members
Thankful for being able to use our mobile devices and video to talk to our parents and friends
Thankful for everyone being flexible and creative about how to keep life moving forward (e.g. school and dance)
Thankful for our health (Still appreciate prayers for Allison's chronic hives, and hope this does not make her higher-risk)
How can we pray for you? What things are you thankful for?
🙏🏽 Please pray for the many missionaries who have recently been evacuated indefinitely from their field assignments and the impact this may have on projects and communities they were serving. Please also pray for all of those (missionaries and
local residents) who remain in places where medical care might not be ideal.
📈 Rising Curves
While we are all taking precautionary steps and praying for God to "flatten the curve" for COVID-19, here are two curves we can praise God for: Text and Audio Bibles uploaded to the Digital Bible Library since 2011.
